Aaron Westbrooks, Founder and Head Coach
Aaron Westbrooks is the Founder and Head Coach of Euro Star Basketball Camp. Basketball has always been at the center of Aaron’s family. His father, Jerome Westbrooks, was a professional basketball player in Dublin, Ireland and raised his family around the game he loved. Aaron has represented his country on all levels, playing in numerous European Championship tournaments throughout Europe. After receiving his degree in Education at Trinity College (in Hartford, CT) and being a four-year starter on the basketball team, Aaron later played professionally in England for the Leicester Riders. After coaching at numerous camps throughout Ireland and the rest of Europe, Aaron decided to bring his exceptional teaching approach to Colorado. With a focus on fundamental development and exceptional instruction, Aaron’s passion for young kids and basketball is on clear display during his camps.
Jerome Westbrooks, Camp Co-Assistant
Jerome Westbrooks has been running and organizing camps in Ireland for over 30 years. He is a top coach at every level and is one of Ireland’s most decorated and respected basketball players throughout the years. He is especially gifted in working with the youth. His experience and expertise places Jerome in high demand.
Winning multiple All-Ireland titles with both Holy Faith girls and St. Fintans boys, Jerome is considered to be the most successful youth and schools basketball coach in Ireland. In 2011 he was, once again, named Basketball Ireland’s Underage “Coach of the Year”. In 2008, Jerome returned to college at DCU (in Ireland) to obtain a Masters, while playing for the college team (along side camp co-director, Michael), winning a college title in the process. Jerome continues to play for Dublin’s Killester Div. 1 and coach in a number of schools across Dublin’s north-side. He returns to the states every summer and assists Aaron with Euro Star Basketball Camps.
Michael Westbrooks, Camp Co-Assistant
After his successful NCAA college days at Colby College, Michael Westbrooks played professionally in Spain before heading back to play in Irelands top tier league for his childhood club (Killester). Michael has been involved in basketball for many years, coaching at all levels throughout Ireland. He was a member of the Irish Premier Select teams that competed against England, winning both games in 2013 and 2014. Obtaining his masters in Career Guidance & Counseling, Michael continues to be involved with young kids on many different levels.
Isaac Westbrooks, Camp Co-Assistant
Isaac Westbrooks has played professionally throughout Europe including Spain, Iceland and England. He also enjoyed coaching youth camps throughout the areas he played in. Isaac finished his 2016 season playing with Travel Lodge Swords Thunder in the Irish Men’s Premier League, a season where he was voted Guard of the Year and Domestic Player of the Year. Isaac’s outstanding point guard skills and ball handling ability is what makes him and elite player and coach.
